Detours Mentoring Group hosts a variety of programs aimed at improving the quality of life in underserved neighborhoods. The community beautification program organizes volunteers who assist with neighborhood cleaning and art installation, which is shown to improve quality of life. The mentoring program connects youth with adult volunteers wo assist the youth in developing and reaching positive personal, academic, and career goals. Our adult volunteers commit to at least one year of service and become part of the social network of adults and community activists who are dedicated to improving the future of young community members.
